My boss came up to me today and handed me a bag of loose 7.62x39 ammo in nickel casings. Was thinking it's probably made by Remmington but I have no idea. Seems a little too fancy for Russian and African brands. Anyone know? |

It is Silver Bear ammo made by Klimovsk in 2001. kspz.ru/eng/index.phtml Even though the boxes have "nickel plated cases" marked on them the importer's website has stated that the cases are plated with highly polished zinc for the last several years. www.gzanders.com/bearammo/sbrifle.html Here is a pic of a box of 2000 production Silver Bear ammo made by Klimovsk,notice the symbol in the upper right hand corner of the box.
