OAL OF CARTRAGES

Perhaps you may be interested in my random sample of cartridges I had on hand.  The cartridges were measured for overall length.  These are a random sample of what was available in my basement.  These samples are do meet the requirements to have any statistic validity but are just a random sample.  I sampled twenty cartridges from each lot.

Wolf 5.45x39 HP 60gr with polymer coating.

Well Sparky1 welcome to my world.
I thought I was the only one that did more than load ammo into magazines. Below is 10rds that I pulled the bullets from in the boxes.




I guess that Federal is clueless as to why the Winchester out sells their 5.56 ammo by a big margin. Also most people have no clue as to why they don't get better groups with Russian ammo.
Consistancy is the key to accuracy.

Right On,
Barnual had a lot of rounds that were the same length, most 2.226 or 2.227.  Perhaps that is why it shoots more consistant.

That would be my bet on why a lot of people report Barnaul accuracy being the best in 5.45 ammo.
