| More than likely, you have 2 ea 720 rd tins, in 20 rd boxes. Clipped M43 steel-cored ammo comes in oddball qty for some reason. Only way to see is to open it up. Corrosive to say the least, it looks like yr of mfg is 1966. Probably copper washed steel cased ammo, worth about $30/100 rds or so. Hope this helps somewhat. |

Clipped M43 steel-cored ammo comes in oddball qty for some reason. The reason isn't "odd" at all. 55 clips on 10 cartridge clips is what fits in the can. Additionally, 2 cans in a case (1100 cartridges) would resupply 10 men with 11 clips (110 cartridges) each. That just happens to refill the 10 pocket chest pouch( 10 clips) and the rifle magazine (1 clip). That may be a coincidence.

But there are 720 rounds per tin (1440 per case). Correct? |

Yes, there are 1440 rounds in the case, or at least that is what the case says! And to answer the question in the first post no way they will be loose box's open it up ,i bet tins, you get those toes from mom or dad I got toe implants so I would feel more masculine.

| Hot stuff, buddy, and highly sought-after! It's full-power ammo straight from the military munitions factory. The only thing close to that available today is the Yugo brass-case corrosive lead-core M67 that was considered an improved round from the steel core. The copper-jacketed bullet is supposed to create bigger wounds compared to the 'penetrator' M43 with steel core. The well-supplied AK aficianado should have plenty of both kinds for SHTF! |
