I was at a Local show today and found some 223 ammo F/S that I have never seen before.
The case is stamped LC 92 and a + in a O, the bullet has a Redish Orange tip that appears to be a Insert of some kind possibly made from Plastic or ?, has anyone come accross this ammo before and what is it?

        Thanks Jim (Lifter)

the + in the circle means it is NATO brass.
its probably reloaded ammo.  but i have been known to be wrong, on occasion.

projectile was probably hornady v-max or something similar.

Sounds like reloads using Lake City brass.

Were the bullet tips painted orange, did the primers still have their crimp? If so it is tracer ammo.  The cross in a circle is the NATO spec marking also be aware that LC does not make .223 ammo, only 5.56 x 45mm.
