I am having a hell of a time finding bulk quantity 7.62x39 ammo. Even Sportsman's Guide is out of stock and/or backordered on most everything. Any suggestions out there - short of buying expensive Remington or Winchester ammo? I'm seriously thinking of getting reloading equipment.

Thats the problem everyware .. Cabela's is back ordered for months , Where ever you look it will be out of stock ..and long shipping times !! its the Panic buying that has caused the problem..and the prices have soared .. | Yeah, I'm very frustrated. Looks like the run on "assault rifles" has extended to the ammo as well. I went to Dick's and Walmart tonight thinking I might find a few boxes of Wolf or Bear. Nothing...empty shelves. The only thing left was Remington or Winchester. I hope this is a short-term issue. Too bad there isn't a domestic supplier/manufacturer of this type of ammo. |

My BO'ed .45acp that I ordered from Cabela's in mid December just shipped this morning. Ammoman sent out an email last week that the Wolf truck had just pulled up.
So it looks like a bunch of Wolf just cleared customs. So some BO's will now get filled and maybe the smaller shops will get their small shipments. |

How? Think about it....who is the Director of Customs? Doesn't it fall uder Dept of Commerce or some such crap? I think Census does. All it takes is a change in power, since many agency heads are appointed, and a little back room dealing to say "hey, hold up on anything relating to X" for a while. Substitute "X" with ammo or whatever else you'd like.
Silly sheeple, laws and the Constitition don't apply to US.... I hope you all don't expect this battle to fought in the open....cause it's not. One day you'll be told "no more" and that will be it. |

Manchester Firing Line had a pallet of Golden Tiger 7.62x39 at the Manchester, NH, gunshow last weekend for $239/1000. By the end of Saturday there were 10-12 boxes left. Don't know if he brought in more for Sunday.
It probably doesn't hurt that Golden Tiger is imported by Star Vector Corp. in Goffstown, NH - one town over from Manchester. |
