I have been trying to figure out an idea zero range, ballistics, and bullet drop for the 5.45 out of a 16 inch barrel.

I can't find much data on this round online, but I did find these numbers.  Do they sound right?

BC: 0.47
Bullet Weight: 60gr
Calibre: .215
Muzzle Vel: 2950-3000

Are you using a 16 inch barrel?

I did, there are only 3 links.

One is in Russian.
The other is for calculating BC.  I don't know the number to calculate the BC.
The third doesn't work.

Which one were you suggesting?

I was surprised. It takes a really hot .223 load to match the 5.45 Bulgarian ammos' velocity, bullet weight being the same. If both are fired from 16 inch barreled rifles. The 5.45 is VERY efficient.

I am guessing it is because the 5.45 was optimized for a 16 inch barrel while the 5.56 was for the 20 inch barrel.

It's probably pretty close, but the bullet diameter is .221" and the bullet weight varies, but for the 7N6 is 53 grains. That said, both Wolf and Silver bear have been available in 60 grain loadings.

Yea, that was the first data I found online.  I know the cal is incorrect but those were the first hard numbers I found.  I have 5k rounds of the 7n6 53gr stuff, and I will be getting 6k more next month.  I want to figure out the drop so I can compare it to the ACOG.
