I ordered some Bulgarian 5.45mm from SG. It was advertised as 1990's production.
SG Ad

The ammo arrived Wed.  It was made in 1985.  I emailed them &  stated that I didn’t plan to return the ammo, but was not pleased that I didn’t get what I had ordered.

Thursday morning, they emailed me back & said that they had just become aware of the issue & they apologized for the inconvenience.

The ad still says 1990’s production as of Friday morning.

are there known issues with 85 production?

they should at least give people a credit if the got something that was not described properly. That is if they still want to keep it.

I do not know of any issues with 1985 production.  That's why I kept it, but other web sites had 1980's ammo a few dollars cheaper. I decided it was worth it to pay a few dollars extra for ammo that approximately 10 yrs newer.

At least we know what it is, even if the people selling it don't .....

Yeah I had the same thing a while back.  I flat out asked them for a credit and they offered to let me return it.  Dumbass....I don't NOT want the stuff but I want to pay the correct price for the correct item.

In the end it was more trouble returning that it would be to keep.

Sounds like the "50's" .303 British I ordered that turned out to be '42 and '43 WWII ammo.

Or the 7.62 NATO "Hirtenberger" that turned out to be West German "MEN" headstamp. Didn't bitch a bit about that, though.

I bought some from them before the century deal and it was 92 production.  I don't plan on opening it, or the crates, anytime soon.  I am sort of surprised they got some back finally.  Did it come in a crate?

Yes, in a crate.  Last load i got from them was also from 92 (ordered it sometime last year).
