what's a good way (or what chemical is best) to clean the bore after shooting corrosive ammo.  I shot some through my nagant, cleaned the crap out of it, and still found rust after awhile.

Cheapest and easiest way.  Run some warm water through the barrel before your regular cleaning. It is damn near free and it works perfectly.

Warm water is messy and a unneeded extra cleaning step.
I clean with CLP and then rinse it all out with a can of brake parts cleaner. The brake parts cleaner leaves no residue and the metal is squeaky clean. Then wipe it down inside and out with a CLP soaked rag to protect the metal. Been doing this for 15+ years and never had a single spot of rust from corrosive ammo.

Opinions will vary, and I do not like to breathe brake cleaner more than I really, really have to. YOu need to neutralize and remove salts which were used to stabilize the ammo but attract moisture after firing. Ammonia helps to break down salts some, and water helps float them away, unlike conventional oils. I swab out the big chunks, then use sloppy wet patches of either Sweets 7.62 or glass cleaner with some ammonia, let soak a bit, swab out, then clean normally. And some have clamps on their utility sink at home to just hose with hot water.
