OK, I'll ask, why?
just use a standard 30 cal bore brush and patch holder on a regular cleaning rod. or, if you have your heart set on using the AK bore brush and patch holder, although I don't know why. just use the cleaning rod on the rifle and the cleaning kit tube and then you can use the AK bore brush. you do know. maybe not. that the cleaning kit tube acts as the handle when you slide the rod through the holes in the side of the tube. the cap of the kit goes over the muzzle of the gun and is the bore guide skip to 1:35 in the video, all will be revealed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-2eaJTqUnA |

What I am doing is.
I built a svd style rifle off a vepr rifle. I want to put together a cleaning kit that will go in my svd magazine pouch. I would like to use as much orignal parts as I can. That being said I can not find a svd cleaning rod and at a reasonable price. I am trying to find an American section cleaning rod and modify it some to work with the ak cleaning kit. |
