My arsenal has a spring loaded pin.
This new rifle I shot exactly 360 rounds and dry fired the hell out of it. I've noticed that the hammer was getting pounded, or beat up. The contact surface where it strikes the pin is deformed already. From a parallel view I can almost see a dent. My saiga has a standard pin and it has absolutely no sign of wear and tear except paint coming off from it. Should I be worried or normal? I mean, by the look it's definitely not cool... |

I have a bit over a thousand rounds fired through my SLR-107F, with probably 2x as many (or at least the same amount of) 'dry fires'. Still with the standard/stock/factory trigger and hammer. Haven't noticed any real deformity or dents on anything, just some wear on the finish is all, which is completely normal.
A picture is worth a thousand words here though, maybe your hammer wasn't heat-treated properly and its wearing beyond normal limits... Or maybe you're just being too finicky and its not hardly worn at all, stop staring at every scratch with a magnifying glass, especially on a combat-type rifle |

Since the post date, I've fired about 400 more rounds so the pics are taken after 700 rnds total. Get dummy rounds if you enjoy torturing your rifles. |

I wish they did a bit of a diagnosis on the gun instead of juat replacing the part. I hope this doesnt happen again... |
