| Anyone have any recommendation on a good rear sight removal tool for an AK 47? I seem to be having a hard time trying to depress the sight down and sliding it back to take it off. |

No options but I looked at YouTube for some fixes:
AK Sight Removal #1 If you have a press: AK Sight Removal #2 |

Here's a video of the second method I mentioned.

Buy the Campy tool. It's sold by several companies:

A simple screwdriver is all I used to replace the stock sight with a Mojo sight. Screwdriver and hammer is the best way. Just tap it and you'll have it out. Or, if you don't have a screwdriver and hammer already, you can buy a special tool for far more than a screwdriver and hammer would cost. |

Piece of wood is probably the cheapest, easiest, and least destructive device to use. This is what I use. I have a hickory dowel rod with a small notch cut into it. But the other tools and methods will work as well. I have a good friend who removes them by hand. He tried to show me but I just couldn't do it. He can pop one off no matter how tight just using his hand. He's a big farm boy though. |

Simple method. Just raise the rear sight blade, use you drill press and a small drill bit that is inserted in the chuck up side down. Pust down on spring leaf and pull rear sight off. Done. This method here......it does the job without mucking up your rifle! |
