| Sporadically having trigger reset problems with my Tapco trigger in my Lancaster Arms "red" AK. Thought it was too dirty (shooting wolf ammo, figured the lacquer might be causing problems) and cleaned it and still had the problem today. Trigger like gets caught on something, and needs a slight tap foward with your finger or to be pulled back again. Anyone experience anythign similar? DIdnt have any problems until about the 800 round mark |

Sorry this took so long. The AK hammer spring resets the trigger. If someone has been screwing with the safety, they could have inadvertentaly got one or both of the legs of the spring off the rear of the trigger. The bent ends should rest inside the channel in the trigger. |
| I narrowed it down (or so I thought) to one side of the hammer spring slipping off the leg and getting caught, needing a nudge foward of the trigger to slip back on. I bend the hammer spring in a bit more so that it couldn't slip off the leg but I am still ahving occasional reset issues. Any other suggestions? Thanks |
| I'd try replacing the hammer spring and see if that does anything... If it doesn't, I would take out the whole FCG, clean and lube everything and then put it back in. Now if that doesn't do anything, I would say screw it and call Tapco and exercise my warranty that the FGC comes with. |
