What side does it go in from? heat or hammer?  TIA, Hugh |
| I will assume you are referring to the drum for the front sight base. It should go in either side, probably starting with the chamfered edge on the drum, if it has one. Make sure you lubricate it up with some anti-sieze or grease to avoid galling. To press it in I would use a vise, just make sure you get the hole for the post as vertical as possible before you press it in. To adjust it I recommend a front sight tool. |
