I've read the tutorials, but..I think there is something wrong here. I install the hammer, the spring is on correctly..the trigger and disc are installed, disc hook points forward...the the hammer is pulled back it latches on the disc. It never touches the trigger. So, pushing the trigger forward actually releases the hammer. Can someone explain how the FCG is supposed to function, and if you have any ideas of what's wrong here? Thanks guys! |

When you release the trigger (push it forward) the dicsonnecter will release the hammer and the trigger will catch it. If it doesn't, you may have forgotten the disco spring or the assembly tube. Sometimes if you do the motion in really slow speed, the disco will fully release the hammer. Do it full speed and you'll see. |

Ok, that's exactly what I needed to know, wasn't sure where the trigger hook came in. I'm thinking the trigger hole needs adjusting, I don't think the trigger can rotate far enough forward maybe. I checked and double checked last night, the disc spring and the sleeve are in there! So far I don't think it's my fault :P |

When you talk about the trigger not rotating forward enough are you referring to the double hooks or the finger part of the trigger? If you are referring to the double hooks not being able to rotate forward enough, then most likely you have a double hook trigger installed in a single hook receiver. If this is the case, you will need to either cut off the offending hook or mill/dremel a slot for the other hook in the receiver. I think this is your problem. |
| No, it's a single hook in one of the new tapco flats that has double hook slots. It seems like the trigger itself (where your finger goes) can't rotate forward enough. Like the flat part of the trigger might be hitting inside the receiver. Does that make sense? I should have taken a pic last night but...we'll see when I get home. Cross your fingers! |

Good news! The only problem is I'm stupid. After looking at it, reading your post, thinking about how it works...I figured out the hammer spring was backwards and I was looping UNDER the trigger rather than over! Well, I love making a fool of myself in public...but better here than at the range. You've been a great help, thanks!! |
