| I decided to go with rivets. I was going to order a rivet kit but figured I would just order a box of each size rivet thru work. Does anyone have the lengths and sizes for the rivets. I seen it listed somewhere but I cant find it now. Also where can you purchase a new barrel pin. A 20 ton shop press wouldnt take it out until I drilled thru the center of it. I am building a romanian. I figure when I am done my nephew, Dad, and brother will probably want to build one too. |
| There are features to the right rivets other than size to consider. Something about the shape of the head, but I'm not sure what. I got a kit from the same source as the receiver (globaltrades.com for $15) so that I could be sure they are right. They also have barrel pins for $5. Good luck. |

Trigger guard & front trunnions are 5/32" x 3/8" - McMaster 97300A105 Rear trunnion & center support are 5/32" x 1 5/8" (my best guess) McMaster doesn't have 5/32 that long so get 3/16" x 2" (McMaster 97300A677) and turn down and trim length. Or you could just drill out your rear trunnion holes to 3/16" and trim the length a bit. That's what I did. Seems to work great. I plan on turning down the diameter for the center support. |
