I am still confused about the rivets. i've read what there is to read in the sticky's, but i'm still confused. i'm used to a regular rivet gun, but i guess these rivets don't use that. how does it work compared to a regular rivet?

Look at this.  I think that from the pictures in that link you can visualize how we crush the rivet to form a head on the inside of the receiver.  I just checked the rivet build tutorial, but unfortunately none of the pics are working.

so your basically just smooshing them? how's that work on the reciever (ie: trigger guard?) it just smooshes the inside rivet completely flat?
