[ARCHIVED THREAD] - new AK builder...

I have NO clue where to start for building a AK. I have built 2 AR15's but have no experience with the AK rifle. can some of you AK builders lead me in the right direction please?(i.e. kits, parts, ect..) i dont want it to be expensive, and it doesnt need to be a tack driver, just something fun to shoot at my land out in the country.

what about the ROMANIAN AK-47 FIXED STOCK RIFLE PARTS KIT that i have seen on so many sites. its really cheap, is all it need a reciever?

There's a whole bunch of topics stickied at the top of this forum to help out home builders. I recommed a big cuppa coffee and some study time in them. There's alot of great info in there.
That's where I got started reserching building myself two years ago.
