I just ordered two of the copes AMD-65 kits! What is the suggested flat for doing this build? Will a basic Tapco do the job?

THX!

yeah I got a few myself!
You can use just a basic AK builder, Tapco, etc and make a "notch" cut into the left rear of the receiver. See the picture of the NDS-65 on their website and you will see what I mean...it's the same as the NDS-3 with the notch cut out

I don't think it will work as the rear rivet holes are different for the amd
take a look at the rear trunion holes

"Regular" Romanian/Hungarian pre-drilled (this is what the Tapco flat ends up looking like)

I built one with a standard receiver.

The notch in the back is easy to cut.

I filled the extra hole on the left side of the receiver with a sling swivel.

Not so bad, but for my next few AMD builds I got a couple of NoDak receivers.

copes AMD-65 kits where and how much?  I did not see them on the website.

Copes has a preorder special going.  The kits will not be available for at least 8 wks, just like the current AMMS feeding frenzy.

Not trying to have them all sold before I get one, but have you seen they have Yugo underfolders for an excellent price as well?

I think that Beemerman was referring to the Yugo UF kits being milled instead of stamped receivers, not the AMD-65's
