Okay, I've got the bug to build. Does anyone have any first hand experience with the Boss Brake? It's pricey but the end results could outweigh going with a conventional jig and press. It's a bummer they don't have a video example on their website as I'd really like to see it in action before blowing the money on it.

Thanks in advance.

(Edit - I google'd and found someone has asked this question back on 3/24, sorry to waste your time but it didn't come up in the forum search for me)

I was at  the range one day and there was a woman with a bolt action 308 with a boss brake. While i was conversing with he guy friend she touched off a round. Niether myself or her friend had our hearing protection on. That blast rung my ears. I could not handle any type of noise. Even the lowest sound caused crackling in my ears for months. That was really loud.

hehe..........         no

This Boss Brake is a jig for bending AK receivers. It's an interesting concept whereby you can forego the need for a dedicated press and jig for bending them up. I thought about it in retrospect and I guess I may still need a press for pushing out the barrel pin, pressing in the barrel, etc.

I'm hoping that Dale chimes in here as I've got the bug and would like to start buying gear.

They don't have enough info on their website to make want to spend that much money.
Especially with kits becoming more scarce every day. If you have the bug, get your kits now and tool up later. No need for tools when kits are gone.

Well said, thanks for getting my arse in gear. What you said make total sense so I'll be scarfing up kits in the mean time.

And yes... You would think they would throw more information at you, videos, action shots, etc. in order for someone to plop that kind of dough.

I would be very afraid to send them any cash.  Granted, their flat bending brake looks cool, but there is a complete lack of information on their website.

Agree.

Never heard of it, and going to the website didn't help.
