Got my kit Friday. So far I have gotten the barrel pin out using: vise, socket and 3/8 drive hex. It came right out. I am trying the gear puller method to to get barrel out. Its not working as planned. I am having trouble with the Screw part of the puller mating to something that will protect bbl and wont slip. I tried a stack of pennies, but it just bent the pennies. So I need to find something solid. If I had some solid brass rod, I could drill a hoke in one end that would hold/center the puller. There is the old standby of heating the part 200 deg in the oven, getting it set up quickley, then pour ice water on the bbl and tighten gear puller at the same time. I have also thought about using the "U" drive screw for the 4 forward rivits and a rivit for the bottom ones. anyway, thats where Im at. |
| I personaly used the vise, pennies, a short 3/8 socket extention as a bar to take the beating and hammered away. I let it soak in wd-40 the night before in the vise. I learned it from here............ http://gunsgutsandgod.com/SBS%20tutorial.htm .... just scroll down past the reciever info. |

you should really try and use a press if you can all those ways work well for most builds but the yugos have a vary soft barrel that likes to disform and gaull from the pin hole you do want to oil it ALOT no matter how you get it off tho put it in a vise and dump oil between the barrel and trunnion while you heat the other side between the trunnion and the barrel the heat will draw the oil threw (NOT WD40 it will catch fire) |

Well, I had got in started, the bbls moved maybe a 1/16. Since my vise is in use tonight (holding my mirror assy of my motorcycle that I broke) till the fiberglass dries. So I squirted more WD40 on it. I ordered my receiver today. And the rear trunnion with the sling swivel built in already and a couple of mags, Rivit kit to. So, now I gotta start buying more mags and ammo. |

If you're talking about a Yugo 'Krink' build, it's the easiest build I've ever done. Almost fell apart and together on it's own. Then my bud got his 02/07 SOT and ever since it's been our range bitch. |
