Hi, I'm not exactly sure where to put this, but I'm wondering if anyone had any suggestions for my next build project.
I've built a couple AK's (romanian and yugo underfolder), and an M4 carbine, and I was looking for a bit more of a challenge.
Any suggestions are welcome, I was looking at a yugo M53 kit, but those seem to have dried up (at least in my price range).
So, what would you suggest?

how much of a challenge are you looking for exactly? tantal...1919a4...vz58...Galil...milled AK...G3
different levels of difficulty but all possible and worth looking into if you ask me

I'm trying to do something other than an AK style. Though a tantal would be nice with all the surplus 5.45 out there right now, just that they seem expensive.
I looked at the 1919a4, but its hard for me to throw down $400+ for parts. I guess the real challenge is something affordable. Right now I've got about $250 in 'fun' money.

Milling is not a problem for me, I have a shop in my garage (mill, lathe, etc).
Sheet metal stamping is, I don't have a large press yet.
About the only thing 'out' is stuff in 5.56 (the galil, I'm having trouble as it is trying to feed my M4) and the suomi kp-31's, I already have one that I'm slowly working on.

kncook: Thanks for the suggestion;
I noticed that too, so I emailed them and Lois said that "At this time, it's not looking good for the M53 kits".

SOG is showing them for $250, don't know if they have them in stock or not.
