Different countries trunions have a different amounts of swelled neck rivets. On a Romanian trunion, there are two swell necks. Other countries may have more or less and in different locations. The easiest way to determine how many short swell neck rivets you need is to look at the holes in the front trunion. The holes that are countersunk take swell necks. The others take non-swell neck. hub999, you may have got a rivet set that was designed for another country's trunion type. Your best bet is to locate some more non-swell neck short rivets. They do? I've never seen that in the several Romanian kits I've had. As a matter of fact, I have never seen two rivets rear rivet holes in any AK front trunion. Got pics? |

Just curious as to why the Tapco rivets are so bad. Will they not hold? Don't crush well? Thanks. |
