[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Broken Gas Tube Retaining Lever - Need Help

I got an excellent condition under folder Polish kit except for one problem, the Retaining Lever for the Gas Tube was snapped in half. How easy are these to replace? I've found a spare part at aa-ok.com but not sure how to replace it. Any suggestions would be appreciated, especially those who have actually replaced this part.

Copes also has them for 12 bucks but also includes the whole front sight base and sight, and cut off barrel.
