Well, after checking the magazine fit, it's a smidge loose for my likes.  It could use a 1/16th of gap taken up.

Anyone have a "best method" for closing this gap?

The best I can figure is to replace the Safety Stop/Mag Plate with one that's either wider or custom made to fit.

Or fabricate a clip-type wedge, sorta like a clip fastener, that adds an edge.

Or adding metal to the existing plate and dressing it down.

What else?  What's best?  What's being done normally?

your prob is you installed your front trunnion to far forward

you dont want to mess with the selector stop that will change the angle your bullet its the feed ramp

you can add a small weld to the top of the mag rel

+1 this is the best approch. If you move the stop foward then you have to move the rear of the trigger guard foward, then there is a gap between the rear of trigger guard and the grip...

I imagine moving or altering the shape of the contact area of the stop plate would do this, but how does adding a little leading edge to it do so?

I don't want to move the stop plate, I just want to add like 1/32-1/16" of material to the edge to shorten the mag play.
