I posted this over on another board but didn't get many responses so I thought I'd post it hear and see if anyone else has experienced this problem with the NDS-1 receivers... Is it just me or has anyone else had a problem with the trigger axis pin hole on the NDS-1 being just a tiny tiny bit too big on the right side of the receiver? It's causing my G2 trigger to wobble a little bit and for the trigger pull to be really really light. Not a hair trigger but too light for my liking. Is there anyplace that sells slightly larger trigger axis pins? Has this issue been seen on anyone else's NDS-1 receivers? I haven't fired it yet but I would imagine that this would cause some nasty trigger slap. ETA: Here's a picture where you can see the gap that's causing the problem...  And yes, I've tried several axis pins with the same problem. Anyone else expience this? Any suggestions on how to fix it? BTW, this really sucks since I didn't notice the problem with the hole size until I practically finished these two builds...  |
Yep, that was the first place I tried. A guy over there suggested that I peen the pin. I tried it and it seems to have worked pretty well. It's now a nice snug fit. The only disadvantage to doing that was that I have to slip the FCG sleeve over the pin first and then peen the pin... otherwise it wouldn't be able to fit through the sleeve and still be a nice snug fit in the trigger hole. This makes installing the FCG a little more difficult but still workable. I just hope the peened over metal will continue to hold after several rounds have been fired. I don't know if this problem was just with a few of their NDS-1 receivers or not. I haven't had many people say one way or the other. I guess not many people have the NDS-1?  All I can say is that for the price they're charging for the NDS-1, it would be nice to have the holes at the right specs. |
I'd rather have had that problem! The Global 1.0mm receivers had a really tight hole too. Anyway, peening it really solved the problem. I just hope it stays that way after being fired. Socandyman told me that Yugo pins might be slightly larger in diameter... I'm gonna go check that out and see. |
