Have an AMD65 kit which I started as a screw build, that last year sometime. Stopped and stored it away. I’d like to finish it but I think it may be in despair straights. I was thinking wielding it may be the only way to correct my handy work I was reading thru some of the old posts and came across the U Drive kits. Do they work well?  What would be the best / safest way to complete this build ? Wield hinking.gif

i have used the u-drives with varying success. the main thing i have noticed is that for them to hold you need a tight fit and some type of adhesive. i use loc-tite red after degreasing the hole. check the u-drive tutorial at the top of the page in the info section of this thread. these may not work if you have already threaded the holes. probably not enough meat there to hold onto.

The tutorial should give you drill sizes and there matching screw sizes .....use loc-tite and you'll be fine.............you can get the drill bits and drive screws from mcmaster-carr.......they worked great for my romy and yugo builds.
