hey guys anyone ever build a kit from centerfire systems? im thinking of building a romanian side folding ak( kit from centerfire with folder) $149 anyone have any good stories with these kits? all parts etc? |

i bought a few Romanian kits awhile back from them..... they sent one kit with non matching #'s.......when advertised as all matching #'s they got kinda snippy when i called them about it...they told me to send it back and they would replace...as they did...and i had to pay return shipping....?????? just the fact that they got kinda smart with me about matching #'s....i haven't ordered from them since!!! |
| I ordered two Romy kits from Centerfire Systems which arrived last week. They were advertised as Excellent Condition SN# Numbers Matching. What I received was two non-matching SN# kits with rust on the inside and outside of the barrels and the worst wood I have seen on a Romy kit. I promptly called to complain and to get a return number. The lady I talked with stated that she did not know how that occurred because about 98% of their kit are as advertised. I replied that I must have the worst luck ever because I got the 2% that were junk. I am currently waiting to see what arrives in the mail next. Compared to the kits I purchased from TAPCO the Centerfire Systems kits look to have spent some time in a pond. |

I recently got four romy kits they all matched except for the cover on one. One had a rusty rear sight but other than that they were great Now the Fal kit i got is another story.hem Im going to try out the copesdist or akparts kits next time i get some. |
| Update to my earler post, received my two replacement kits today. They were in as advertised condition. I just wish the first two were in the same condition. The worst part of the ordeal was I had to pay return shiping for the poor product they sent in the first order. |
Yeah I was Really Upset With That Aspect Of It Too. ] ] They Sent Me A Fal Kit With A Ruint Carry Handle And A Junk Ak Mag Neither Of Wich Would Be Worth Paying The Shipping To Sent It Back And Hope For Better Condition |

You never know what you are going to get from them anymore. They may have a few good kits, but most are crap. Kits that are returned just get shipped out to the next guy. Sooner or later someone will keep it rather than bother to ship it back. Sure they'll let you return it, but your on the horn for the shipping. It's really a shame, they used to be a good company to do business with. |
