What is the difference between these two gasses and is it really that critical to use one over the other to heat treat rails and holes? |
| If one is gas welding, acetylene is the way to go. As far as heat treating, not alot of difference. The oxy-acetylene allows a very hot pin point flame and if one is doing alot of work; it is the better way to go. For the average guy doing heat treatment etc... on a limited basis I would say mapp is the way to go. |
