Are the Romy G guns originally FA? My kit from Sportsmans Guide appears to have all the FA parts with it, but I'm not sure.

Yes it is possible to get a FA FCG with your Romy kit. Some of the FA FCG's where removed and replaced with Semi-Auto FCG. Some not.

Sell em off on the EE, I got rid of the FA parts that came with all my kits. Why even temp them - Zap

The Romanian "G" rifles were issued to the Romanian Patriotic Guard in semi-auto only. I obtained this info from the Romanian National Military Museum in Bucharest last October. With the exception of them being semi-auto, the black band on the buttstock and the orange "G" engraved on the sight block, the "G" rifles were identical to the selective fire AKMs issued to the regular Romanian Army. They made these "G" rifles semi-auto by cutting the tail off the disconnector.

The Patriotic Guard was roughly the equivalent of the National Guard except that it was mandatory for all highschool aged boys and girls.

Can you confirm that you got the semi-auto disconnector? I found someone on another board that's claiming he got a FA disconnector with the tail.
