So I've got my build all stripped, except for the wood on the upper handguard. How do you get the damn thing out to finish it..? Looking at it, I'd like to tap the end "plates" off, but I have to believe there is a better way. Input please.....

 ....Doh! Was a bit frustrated with the thing at the time.ETA: They need to change to design. I'm far too smart to have the thing come apart that easy....
