I use E clips on mine and I've never had one come off. I fact I shot one of mine for a week before I got a chance to get some clips put on at all and never had one of the pins back out. I would try smaller ones that fit tighter. Maybe metric ones. good luck.

I'll put a new one one, probably getting close to a few thousands rounds through the pistol.

Orginally had over 1500 rds through it and no problem and pulled the trigger off and then put it back on and within 100 rds it pop off. Couldn't find it so put a new one on and now it's poped off again.

Where can you get the metric and what size are they?

Mr.Krink sells them on the EE. I think they are 4mm.

I like the L shaped retainers.  Easy in and easy out.  And they always work.  I make my own out of .045" spring wire salvaged from the inside of old popup yard sprinklers, but they are sold at  http://midwestarmory.com/page3.html

I had one come off my trigger pin which made mine shoot a 3-round burst before jamming  It ruined my day.  I had to hold the pin in with 1 hand.  I'm gonna go with a red star arms retainer
