| Can anyone tell me about ITM receivers ? are they the same as OOW receivers ? I have a chance to buy one locally and if they are considered good quality receivers I may get it to avoid the mail order hassle. |
Yes, ITM is the same as OOW. If you're talking about the 7.62x39 receiver, then you're going to have that little gap between the selector lever and the dust cover. OOW receivers are only heat treated at the axis pin holes, they have a somewhat unsightly logo on the side, they're a little too long and they don't have stepped rails. Other than that, it's a pretty decent receiver. |
who gives a crap about the gap who puts there ak on safe anyways unless its a safe queen buy the thing they are a good receiver |

Just barely a gap on my ITM receiver. From what I have been reading on these forums, whatever receiver you decide to go with, some come perfect and others have imperfections. Just be sure to inspect before you buy. It seems all of these companies have quality control issues from time to time. |
| I've used them for all three of the builds I've done. I haven't had a single problem with them. There is a little gap, but interestingly, the last one I got was much smaller. They may have made a tweak to their design. I've not noticed any issue with their length, either. And the best part is that they're available when you want them. |
