| Except with a WASR if I want to clone an AK all I need to do is go to the store get a WASR and put in the dimples, with an SAR first I have to find it then order it, then go through the transfer dealer, pay shipping, wait, then have to take it to a gunsmith to get de-neutered, money isn't the issue it's convenience.... |

A guy used to make them for around $30.00 but I haven't heard or seen a post from him in ages. I bought 2 of them and they work quite well. BUT...you can't use them on a receiver that already has the magazine well cut. During the forming process metal is displaced in the mag well area. So, if the mag well area hasn't been cut you just push the metal back. Very, very hard to do with the mag well cut. If you do a search at Gunco.net you will find the info about these dimple dies. |
