[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mag fitting problems w/amd-65

The magazine body seems to be interfering with the lower rail. Do I need to grind off the lower lip or something?? I'm pretty sure this fit before heat treating/coating...... But this is the first time I had the trigger guard installed. Thoughts?

Your pictures don't show on your link. You did install the selector stop between the receiver and trigger guard, didn't you?

those rails look like the type for a non dimple receiver

edit: never mind, I'm having a braindead day.

just grind the lower tab till it fits right.

The rail on the other side doesn't have the "lower lip" like the one in the pic does.....

The receiver (flat) and rails are both Tapco... <shrug>

I noticed this on 2 or 3 of mine also...it's like the rail is for a thinner mag...and they are diff left to right.

I dunno, I just ground it down until it had clearance and gives wobble support to the mag...

no its actualy so the rail will work with a 47 or a 74
74 being long and skinny
all you need to do is grind it down some
