i noticed after shooting through a few mags that the left back side of the mag lip is getting hit by the bolt.

i put a mag in and took the cover off and watched the bolt as i pulled it back to see what it does.
well it twists clockwise just the smallest amount where the bottom of the bolt that pick up the round hits the back left side of the lip.
now the place where it hits is showing metal.

has anyone ever had this happen and been able to fix it.  it barely does it to my waffle mags but i notice it more on my steel mags.
as for my 40rd mags it doesnt feed at all.

thanks guys

dont go grinding on your bolt
sounds like your left rail is to low
if that is the prob grinding on the bolt wont help
give us more info
kind of rifle
rec type
and if you can measure the distance between top and bottom rails

did you open up the slots on your bolt carrier so it moved smoothly threw the thicker rec ?

yes i was think if you removed to much from the top and none from the bottom it might cause the carrier to twist
