Since my first AMD65 project came out reasonably well, and actually works, I am going to build another- with a twist. I am getting a lazer cut blank from ar15plus.com and another AMD65 kit from Clearview Investments. My plan is to make an Valmet M76 clone. Being of Finnish decent, I have always wanted a Valmet, but they have always been out of my range. Attached is a very rough concept photo of a converted AMD. I will modify the reciever floor to match the contour of the Valmet, and use the Galil style foregrip from Tapco. The rest of the mods will be done with sheetmetal and the trusty welder.
