I picked up a laser cut flat. REALLY nice! I want to make up a die and form to press the mag support "dimples" into each receiver side. The receiver is 1.6mm or .062 thousandths thick. Anyone have a actual size of the dimple or a receiver drawing in pdf format thay want to share ? |

http://oregonstate.edu/~brokowsj/plan.JPG The whole plan is in PDF format, but it also includes the evil third hole, so I'll wait for some sort of approval before posting that jailbait. |

I finally downloaded the entire file and plotted it at work (nice plotter). Thanks for the preview. Anyone building this should note that the thickness of your receiver will influence the "depth" you press your dimples to. The laser cut flat is 1.6 mm or .062 thick. Check your magazine width and compare it to your receiver well I.D. subtract and divided by 2 for your actual depth per side. You can use the welded shim but the pressed dimples are a nice touch. |
