Say you've got a really nice AMD65 kit with all matching numbers. Say you're "rolling your own" receiver to build it up on. Say that, even though you don't legally have to, you "want" to put an identifying serial number on the receiver. Is it Kosher to use the same "matching" number for the receiver as is on the other "matching" parts in the kit? Not as a means of trying to "fool" anybody or anything like that (it's gonna be pretty obvious that it ain't a "factory" receiver), but just because you want it to still all be "matching" when you're finished. I mean you're never gonna be "selling" the thing anyway, so what would it matter? Just curious . . . . . Doug . . . . .

Nope, the reciever that came with the parts kit you bought has been cut into three seperate pieces, and besides many AK's don't have a number stamped on the reciever, but on the front trunnion. |
