I'm talking about the jig that is sticky'ed at the top of the forum.

Who has one and if you do, how did your project go?

seems like alot of fun and i'm always looking for a reason to spend more time in the garage.

If you are referring to the OSI jig, I bought one. It folds the main channel bend just like factory, but there is no provision for the top rail bend. I'm trying to get a second jig made up for that. I don't know if OSI is still making their jig, it's real expensive($500) and they didn't explain that the top rails would need a separate jig to do them. I thought the jig they made would do it all. So in that sense, I'm real disappointed with OSI's product, because for the price they charged, it should have been able to do the top rails also. Oh well, live and learn.

thats the one.

$500 is steep, but if it gets the main bend done, i am happy. figuring out the other two fold cant be too bad.

did you ever get your DIY ak done?

Guys, $500 is way way way too too much for a jig that does half the job... Check out this thread at Gunco.net and build you own...

Someone could make themselves a pretty penny making those.
not everybody has a welder to put those together.
