[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Which Kit is more desirable?

Which kit, in general, would be the best to start a build off with?

The AMD 63, AMD 65 or an AKM? I like the look of what I call the "standard" AK. That is a wooden butt stock, pistol grip, and a standard fore grip.

Which kit would be the best, or take the least to get there?

Either a Polish kit, set aside the underfolder and add a wood buttstock; or an AMD63 kit, buying a new gas tube, lower handguard bracket, and front handguards.

I bought a couple excellent AMD63 kits. Kept metal HG on one and put wood HG on the other. Got a gas tube with HG brackets at aa-ok and wood HG from ORF.
The AK74 kits out there are un issued.
