[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Front sight base - repair or replace

The threads on my front sight base are shot. Can I re-tap the threads and get an over-sized sight post ?? Does anyone make such a critter ?? Or would I have to replace the entire base ?? Who might carry these parts ??

What Threads?

The ones the sight post thread into?

That can be replaced without replacing the whole thing, that is a seperate piece.

You remove the post and drift it out the side of the front site base.

just buy another windage drum from k-var.
