I have a chicom side folder and wanted to convert it to a left side folding RPK I screwed up and took off the barrel trunion before realizing the rivit patern does not match up now i have apreban side folder reciever with no barrel or trunion on it .How do i mount an e block trunion and barrel on my chi com reciever?or where can i find a chicom barrel and trunion .Thanks for your help guys |
| Wow, you really have a mess going on. There is no E-block trunion that has the same hole pattern. You can't just get a trunion. The serial # of your rifle is on the trunion you just removed. It must be put back on. As the barrel is larger in diameter than the trunion bore, you will find reducing the barrel diameter is about the only option you have. |

or...bore out and jig grind the trunnion to fit your euro bbl., allowing for a .003"-.004" press fit. have the trunnion bored and ground while it is out of your receiver. any good local machine shop can do this for you for about $50 or so. take your bbl. AND trunnion in, no matter if you decide to reduce the bbl. journal to match the trunnion or vice versa. whoever does the job while want to measure both parts in order to get the interferance fit set correctly. |
