Do you mean the one really long rivet which goes all the way thru?  If so, I did this one with a small plate with a dimple in it for the head, and a small ball peen hammer.  I just lightly tapped and tapped and tapped... the round head f the hammer spreads the metal so I spread it into a nail head and then used the flat head to form it and drive it into the receiver.  I also did this for the center support rivet.

If you mean the longer (not not really long) rivet for the rear trunnion, then I trimmed them and just squashed them with my rivet tool.

What kind of rivet jig are you using to mash the rivet head?
It takes a little practice to get it right.
I use this homemade jig (6th post down)& a press.
