| Been on vacation this week so I thought I would finish the demill of my Romy G. Trigger guard went well the hole in the back was slightly enlarged. It was hard getting the AK builder drill tool straight on the rear rivet. Next the rear trunion. Been putting this one off because of all the horror stories. Drilled the first one three quarters of the way then punched it out. A few good whacks and she popped right out. On to the second. Half way through making sure to take my time and disastor strikes. The damn bit snapped off. I spent three hours trying to pound heat redrill etc. with no luck. Maybe this was caused by running my drill press to slow at 300 rpm? Not giving up on the build too much time and money spent on tools. I have found Romanian rear trunnions but none pre drilled. Does anyone know where to find pre drilled rear Romanian trunions? |
