Put the finishing touches on it today. Mint Romy G with a KVAR USA made plum stock set. NDS-1, G2 double hook, AKB Rivets, Romy muzzle nut, moly over park finish and a chopped PSL rail welded on the side.
The drum is a Bulgy 75 rounder in a Russian cover. Hungy sling. Pics:

Picking up this AKM is like picking up my little AR. Big weight difference from a wood set. The stuff is quite tough too. You do need to do some filing and dremel work to get the fitment just right. This poly shapes like hardwood. I liked that about it. |

Looks very nice. I am curious what the "bubbling" is on the front sight ear in the pic? That's dirt.  It tipped over while I was posing it. I didn't see it until after I snapped the pic. Our dirt here is mostly sand and it blew off easily for other pics. The flash really made it stand out!
