Im building this romy with a nds receiver riveted in.  I haven't done the magazine catch yet, but I want to see if it fed and ejected the ammo smoothly.  It doesnt.  the first time I tried it jammed about every three cycles, today it was like every time almost.  Note that I dont have the magazine catch installed, I was just holding it in what felt like the right place.  It seems to jam consistently with the carrier about a 1/2" from closed.  I know that its different with spen cartridges b/c of length anyway so is this supposed to work anyway?  I also have slightly tight headspace, but was told it was ok if the round chambered smoothly.  God I don't wanna have to change headspace.hinking.gif

It has worked better for me to rivet the front trunion and do the trigger guard next. You may need to file or bend the inner rails and file the ejector to fit the bolt. I always build front to back...

Thanks for the advice.  Will definently take ur approach next time.  UPDATE: when i actually attached the magazine catch instead of just holding it in, all the feeding/ejection problems SEEM to go away.  I wasn't able to thoroughly verify this b/c the damn screw kit i got from akbuilder.com for the magazine catch werent long enough to include the extra plate that was riveted between the guard and the old receiver, without it the catch sat too high to lock the magazine.  Im goin to lowes now.  I know I know I should just rivet the damn thing.
