| suppose a person built a romy G with 6 compliance parts including the wood furniture. would it be legal for him to remove the butstock and replace it with a romanian wire sidefolder ?? |
|
Count the number of imported parts out of the following list. Per ATF regs the rifle cannot have more than ten as imported parts. 1. receiver 2. barrel 3. muzzle attachment 4. gas piston 5. front trunion (only countable for a stamped receiver assembly) 6. bolt carrier 7. bolt 8. hammer 9. trigger 10. disconnector 11. buttstock 12. pistol grip 13. handguard set 14. magazine body 15. magazine follower 16. magazine floorplate. |
| you built the G right, you have six 922r comp.parts, your wood,(stock) is either US made or the original stock ? .if your stock is US made and part of the "six" compliance parts then no you cannot switch to a folder unless it is a US made part or you add a US part somewhere else.you could just use US made mag floor plates and followers and do what ya want.you have a G2 FCG,correct? that is 3 parts,a receiver,1 part, piston? 1 part, pistol grip?1 part, muzzle break? 1 part.different things ya can do to add that folder. |

So, lets say standard G build with the following compliance parts receiver slant brake trigger hammer disconnector pistol grip that is 6 parts. wood is original G. could the wirefolder be added without adding to the non compliance parts count ? the original buttstock is foreign manufacture as is the wirefolder. Thanks for your patience and advice |
| Thanks guys, I appreciate it. more than that I just wanted to say that is great that a community of people who have like interest help each other so freely. I warms my heart. maybe one day the sun of freedom will shine on us so that we can enjoy doing what we want without having to worry if the iron content in that part is either foreign or domestic. Thanks again and build on my friends !!!!!! |
