I actually prefer my Yugo underfolder to my Romy sidefolder. Since one of the underfolder's arms is closer to my cheek than the center-oriented sidefolder, I find that it cheek welds better. Plus, I find the underfolder to just feel more solid. I had to do some slight tweaks on my romy sidefolder from DPH for it to not collapse every now and then  , and/or have a pin fall out. That wasn't so fun.

Well if you are talking a Romanian side folder then I would agree that the UF is better. I was basing my comment on a Bulgarian/Russian TRIANGLE folder, which I failed to make clear. I prefer the triangle over a UF and the UF over a Romanian SF.

I love the look and feel of my polish underfolder but my romanian side folder is a LOT more solid. Not as comfortable to shoot, but more solid. Like it would knock someone's teeth out but the side folder would probably just bend. I prefer the older side folder with the button instead of the lever. More solid and made better but harder to find. |
