a buddy and myself have a quite a few kits to build.  i was wondering if anyone buys there rivets from granger of mcmaster.  seems like i would get a better deal buying them that way instead of a rivet kit each time.  if so could ya share the part numbers with me?

Have used them for most of my builds, however I don't have a part #.

Seems like you could get a bucket of rivets cheaper than buying them the way we are.
I've been tempted to take a pack of tapco rivets over to the local Grainger outlet or to larger rivet company and see if they can match them.

Edit2: These are McMaster numbers;

Here's the one I just ordered but I haven't tried them yet;

97300A105  Plain Steel Round Head Solid Rivet 5/32" Diameter, 3/8" Length, Approx 300 Pcs/Pk, Packs of 1 Lb. $7.58

97300A677  Plain Steel Round Head Solid Rivet 3/16" Diameter, 2" Length, Approx 50 Pcs/Pk, Packs of 1 Lb. $5.54

97032A363  Plain Steel Flat Head Solid Rivet 1/4" Diameter, 2" Length, Approx 30 Pcs/Pk, Packs of 1 Lb. $6.21

The first ones would be front trunion and trigger guard, the second one trimmed for rear trunion and I am going to see if I can use the third ones for center supports, that would require me to drill out the center hole larger.

Just received them haven't even opened the packs yet.

Edit: Let me add if they work this would be enough for 25 kits.

I have tried a couple times with the swell neck rivets and was never able to get them to work correctly.  I don't use them at all.

swell neck rivets work great, but what I did was take a slightly larger diameter bit and drill out the sides of the reciever hole to be tapered in a bit. That way the swell works.
