I know these are probably stupid questions, but no flames please

1. On a 100% receiver, the kind that requires an FFL, is there any welding that needs to be done, or is that part of the manufacturing.

2. Is it worth the extra money to buy a 80% over bending a flat yourself?

3. What is required to finish an 80%? Are the dimples existing, or is that something the builder has to do.

Thanks for the help. I put together my 20T press today and took the HF blast cabinet out of the box and set it up too...I am almost ready!!

There are no stupid questions.  Well, there are, but these aren't.

My personal experience...

1. I have only bought one NDS 100% receiver, and it was...well...100% complete.  Lower rails were in, so no welding.  Just do the rivets.  Turned out to be the easiest build by far.

2. I've done the 80% as well as the Tapco flats for the Yugos.  I prefer the flats.  They just turned out better for me I guess.

3. I don't remember the manufacturer of the 80% I did, but there were no dimples.  On the other hand, the Tapco flats just needed to be bent.  All dimples, holes and upper rails were there, and in the correct place.

Hope this helped.

Thanks Tim, that is exactly what I needed to know.

I guess I will order a 100% for my first build and then bend some flats.
